In Amy Poehler’s highly anticipated first book, Yes Please, she offers up a big juicy stew of personal stories, funny bits on sex and love and friendship and parenthood and real life advice (some useful, some not so much), like when to be funny and when to be serious. Powered by Amy’s charming and hilarious, biting yet wise voice, Yes Please is a book is full of words to live by.

My Review

Loved sassy, witty, brutally honest, comedian, Parks and Recreation, SNL Emmy-winning Amy Poehler with the smashing debut memoir, YES PLEASE, which offers hours of fun and entertainment, plucked from all the fun parts of her exciting life.

Where to start, but if you know Amy you know she is a master at her craft, jumping from one subject to another - from marriage, divorce, motherhood, SNL, fears, dreams, career, childhood, sleep apnea, sex, work, colleagues and best of all the audiobook which was killer! Narrated by:Amy Poehler, Carol Burnett, Seth Meyers, Mike Schur, Eileen Poehler, William Poehler, Patrick Stewart, and Kathleen Turner.

I started listening/reading on New Years Eve day while traveling, as found myself laughing out loud at her pudding and sex jokes as well as highlights of her childhood, parents, and career (even how to apologize). If I had not been driving would have bookmarked the many hilarious one liners.

Amy is in rare form, Boston attitude, wild and crazy, and can only imagine her trying to quieten her wild and imaginative mind to sleep – my hero!

I enjoyed it much more than Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl.
