Murder, buried secrets, and one woman’s fight for justice propel this gripping police procedural from the author of Snatched.
Det. Samantha Freeman is barely recovering from the devastating accident that killed her fiancé, Ravi, when she’s thrust into a chilling homicide case. Valerie Turner, a wife and mother of two, is found dead in her kitchen. But as Samantha peels back the layers of Val’s seemingly ordinary life, she uncovers shocking truths—a son given up for adoption, an illicit affair, blackmail, and stolen identities.
The case takes an even darker turn when DNA evidence ties the crime to a police officer and reveals long-lost twins separated at birth. As Samantha races to unravel a tangled web of betrayal, the suspect list grows—and so does the danger.
With the killer closer than she ever imagined, can Samantha uncover the killer before more lives are lost—including her own?
Packed with twists, emotional stakes, and heart-pounding suspense, this is a mystery that will keep you hooked until the shocking finale.
About the Author

Having worn many hats in my lifetime, writing is one of the most fulfilling. My initial career was in childcare as the owner/manager of a Day Nursery. I eventually moved on to train as a therapeutic counsellor and eventually to a role in the voluntary sector, working with Victim Support. My five years with this incredible organisation provided a wealth of experience and insight into human nature and the criminal justice system. The diversity of people using the service has enriched my own life experience and empathy with others, which I hope is reflected in my writing.
I mainly write crime/domestic thrillers, although three women's fiction novels have been my latest project and are now available. WEBSITE
