A radio DJ is tormented by a twisted killer, who has a gruesome request.

I was nineteen when I discovered my boyfriend’s father was a serial killer.

I stumbled upon his latest victim tied up in the basement of the house he was renovating, and it was my evidence that helped convict him to a life in prison.

My boyfriend never forgave me for turning against his dad and a couple of years later took his own life.

That was fifteen years ago.

I am now a local evening radio presenter, but it seems I can’t escape my past.

Late one night, when I’m alone, the phone rings. The caller wants me to solve a riddle, and tells me a life depends on it.

‘Only you can save her’

‘If she dies it’s your fault’

And so, the deadly game begins.

Someone wants revenge.

The perfect read for fans of authors like Clare Mackintosh, Cara Hunter, and Paula Hawkins.

My Review

The queen of creepy, unsettling thrillers, Keri Beevis, returns following The Boathouse (5 Stars) with her latest republished novel, EVERY LITTLE BREATH —a fast-paced tale of a local evening radio presenter, whose past collides with the present in this twisty dark psychological thriller game of cat-and-mouse and misdirection keeping you guessing to the end.

SERIAL KILLER: From the disturbing Prologue to the Epilogue, the author has your attention—a terrifying serial killer, but the identity is not revealed until the end, told in first person narrative.

We meet Casey Fallon, single (19), who returned to Norwich from University and wants to end her relationship with her boyfriend, Gareth Noakes (controlling).

There is no answer after going to his parent's house to confront him. Looking around, she discovers a tied-up, blindfolded, beaten woman in the basement. When the father, Steve, comes back in the room, she hides, flees, and calls 911, PC Murphy.

The father, Steve, was later arrested and charged due to her testimony. Casey was the only key witness. There were five women murdered.

Thirteen years later, Casey (34) is now working as a radio station host of the late-night show. She is doing fine without a man.

From the past and the present, Casey answers a call. It is disturbing and spine-chilling. She first thinks it is a prank but soon learns something more sinister is at play.

The radio DJ, Casey, is being tormented by a twisted killer with strange and gruesome requests. Does this have anything to do with the past? Is it connected?

"You saved one life. But can you save them all?"

A woman's body is discovered, and she is now caught up in a web of a nightmarish, menacing killer. Was Steve the wrong killer? Someone is still out there plotting revenge! Someone wants to punish Casey.

Who is the monster, and will Casey figure it out before she is the next victim?

The author knows how to create creepy atmospheric settings and suspenseful tension with a spine-chilling epilogue! I highly recommend the author's books if you have not read them.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for a gifted ARC for an honest review. I also purchased the audiobook narrated by Sasha Higgins and Joel Froomkin (Dreamscape Media).
